Guest guest
Cathy, Oh, I am so sorry to hear that. I hate dealing with incompetent people. Just so you know.......I think normal Ige is like 1-20 Spencer's was like 500+. Just so you don't get shocked. It may be really high. And for , I hope he doesn't hurt that much through all of this. I can't image what it would feel like but I do have some sort of EE. I just got finished vomiting acidic like stuff up. It hurts so bad and then when it won't come up and just sits in the esophagus it hurts even worse. I like it better when I vomit. Not to be gross or anything. Sorry. Guest guest
BJ's blood eosinophil level has been high since he was born. I wonder if this is an indication of allergies? I mean other than food. He is having a constant cough and green stuff out of his nose and the ped is saying it is allergies. They have given him Attarax and Naldecon, neither helped. Guest guest
Thanks, we saw the GI and the pulmonologist yesterday. The GI news: His weight was only down .2 kg so this is pretty good especially considering that he just came off the Prednisone and could be losing the extra weight it gives you. The GI wants to keep a very close eye though and make sure that he doesn't continue on the losing trend like he tends to do. Upon my suggestion, we decided to hold off on the meds for at least a month and see how he does. We are doing fairly well by just avoiding the " trouble " foods. The pulmonologist was not such a good story. He put BJ on a double dose steroid inhaler because although BJ hasn't been wheezing, he coughs constantly and his sats have been pretty low. He also said that he feels that the skin allergy testing is a must and referred us to a pediatric allergist who he said will see BJ pretty quick and get him on some kind of allergy meds.
