Guest guest
Yeast infections either in the digestive system or externally can be helped and possibly eradicated with acidophilus culture. This is the GOOD bacteria that is in yoghart. Since I don't eat yoghart due to carbs I take 2 acidophilus capsules daily. I noticed that they weren't working like I wanted until I found some info in Prevention Magazine about FOS. FOS is a nonnutritive carbohydrate that the acidophilus bacteria feed on. Since starting to take 1 FOS with the 2 acidophilus daily my digestive system works great. If a person is on antibiotics or has a major yeast infestation they may need to take this combo 3 times a day. Antibiotics kill the good bacteria right along with the bad ones. Since the GOOD bacteria will multiply 5 times on FOS they are using all of it and we don't have to worry about the carb. One reason this makes sense is acidophilus usually feeds on milk sugar and since most of us don't use milk due to the carbs we need to use other means of keeping our intestinal flora fed. Hope this helps.
