[eosinophilic gastroenteritis] Mackenzie

Hi, all well I had Mackenzie Saturday 11/20/99 at 4:57 pm at 36 weeks exactly.

I just got home today so it will be a few days before I can catch up. She was

born Saturday because my fluid was next to none. She weighed 5 lbs 2 oz and was

16 inches long. Such a shortie! She is such a doll and eats really well. She

eats about an ounce every 3 hours. We just got discharged today and her

discharge weight was 4 lbs 14 oz. She is a little yellow so we have to take her

back Wednesday to be rechecked. Her Apgars were 8 and 9. She came out pink and

screaming her little head off. I wanted to thank everyone who kept her in

their prayers, it certainly worked.

Dawn,

Mackenzie looks so precious you should just enjoy her and I hope BJ starts to

feel better and you get the help you need I know what it is like not having a

doctor that knows about EG. My problem is there is noone in this country who is

familiar with this disease. Miriam has been off the steroids now 2 1/2 weeks and

she is reacting to almost everything again. I am now going to try homepath and

see if we have any sucess. The homeopath is going to work hand and hand with our

GI. All the best
