Maybe I am about to learn something here, but has anyone ever heard that

prions cause cells to " swell until they burst " ??? (see quote below)

What Causes CJD?

CJD is caused by small proteins called prions. Prions are smaller than

bacteria or viruses. Scientists are still not sure how prions work; they seem

to damage the brain by making cells swell until they burst.

If anyone can disprove this, let me know and I will be glad to set the Health

Dept. straight.
