Guest guest
Jacque, We are facing the same delima. My daughter will be 8 in July and weighs just 39 lbs and is 44 inches tall. She is very small. Other other child Mackenzie is 5 months and was up to 13lbs but now is losing weight and down at barely 12 lbs. Dakota doesn't seem to suffer with any tummy aches but I wondered too if I should have her scoped to see if she also has EG but we decided that if she ever started having problems we would test her then. I think that if we found out tommorrow that she had EG, we wouldn't give her steroids nor would be put her on an elemental diet since she is in no pain or suffering. Same with the baby. Our GI says he has seen some girls who start having problems as teenagers and are diagnosed with EG so I guess we will see what happens with the girls. I hope this makes sense.
