Guest guest
Dear Betty Thanks for sharing the Easter poem. You have been through so much, and still you are able to think of others and bring hope. As I read the poem, I once again realize that the message of Easter is the most important for all of us. The fact that Christ willingly gave His life and suffered so much for all of us, then arose from the tomb, lets me know that those who are no longer in our presence are with Him and I feel very blessed for this knowledge. It's a tough parting, but I feel that the spirits of our loved ones miss us just as we miss them. We, evidently, have more to do on this earth before it is our turn to join them. It's surely hard trying to keep going, however, without their influence. Hang in there. (BETTY WELLS) Dear Ones: For many this will be an empty Easter. But let's don't let our sorrow overcome us and take away the true meaning of Easter. Yesterday, I received this poem from the Chaplain of the hospital where my husband died. I want to share it with you The Easter Message Last Easter. when my voice was lifted up to sing the praises of my risen Lord, I had not tasted sorrow's bitter cup. The music held for me no minor chord. This Eastertide my stricken heart sends up the strains I lift in accents clear and strong. For I have drained the dredges of sorrows cup, And learned the meaning of the Easter song. I know the sweetness of the minor chord, the glory of the major full and clear, I know the power of my risen Lord; HE LIVES, and THEY SHALL LIVE whom I hold dear. And though I cannot help the tears that flow, And though my heart is sad as a heart can be, I sing the Easter song because I know The Blessed Easter message is for me. Author Unknown When I think of all that I have been through...My Mom died Feb. 1997...My Dad died June 1998.. then my husband died Dec. 1998. I can't help remembering what Easter is all about. My Savior went through so much more...I shoud not complain, but be thankful that my were not more. Each of you know that you are in my heart, in my prayers and may you be blessed with LOVE ans PEACE that passes all human understanding. Guest guest
I want to thank Betty Wells for the beautiful poem, " The Easter Message " she sent to us. I have forwarded it to a couple of my relatives. I was also amazed at how similar our circumstances are: my father died in 1995, my husband in 1996 from CJD, then my mother in 1997. I feel for you Betty, and hope you are not alone this holiday. I was last Easter, but made it a point to be with someone this time. God Bless everyone. Guest guest
Hi Janet and Pete, Thank you so much for the Easter wishes. My Daughter and her husband plus three adorable grandchildren live with me. They are Jehovah Witnesses. I am Methodist and do celebrate Easter and all other holidays. It is difficult to understand the different beliefs but we get around it mainly because we respect the fact that we have a right to believe what we want and don't force our beliefs on someone else. I still fix my grandchildren baskets at Easter, presents at Christmas etc. I just don't give them on the day of the holiday. Thank you again and you have a wonderful Easter too! Love and Prayers, Lucy Easter Dear All- To those of you that celebrate Easter..may you have a glorious day...and to those who don't celebrate Easter have a glorious weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!With Spring in the air..may everyone feel better..Love and hugs Janet and Pete DISCLAIMER!!WE ARE NOT MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS, THEREFORE ANY INFORMATION THAT IS RECEIVED HERE IS FROM EXPERIENCE ONLY.
