Guest guest
Hello everyone, I had an appointment yesterday for my five year old. He needed to go for his pre school check up and immunizations. When the weighed him, he weighed 36 pounds and his height is 41 " . The family doctor is concerned because of his weight. He has not gained since this summer when we had another visit for him. I called my Matt's GI and asked them to chart him. They said that his height was at the tenth percentile but that his weight was off of the charts. I should back track some and explain that at birth, tested positive to the PKU. He was admitted to ICU and thought to have Maple Sugar Urine disease. When his blood work was done, it was found to match Matt's. We were hopeful that if we found out what was wrong with we would also know what was wrong with Matt. (Matt was not diagnosed with eos. entropothy until a year and a half ago.) As it was, had been misdiagnosed and we were sent home, very relieved. was supposed to have the blood work repeated at a year old but because he was doing so well, we decided against it. Now, I am rethinking that decision. I am waiting for the family doc to return my call. The only question that I have is... is very active and he has shown none of the illnesses that have plagued Matt. Has anyone else with family members ever been diagnosed without displaying any symptoms? Just curious and now beginning to be concerned. Lynn, We have looked at Fleishman's light and for some reason, we were not able to have it. I do not recall the ingredients or why we could not use it. Thanks.
