Dolly, I want thank you for sharing your thoughts and beautiful poem with us

for the Easter Holiday. You are truly a remarkable person for helping families

during a CJD experience. I wish you and all the families in our CJD VOICE

network a Happy Easter.

Some of us have recently lost our loved one to CJD. My wife Helen, passed away

on February 6. This will be a tough holiday for me and I am sure for all the

others in our CJD VOICE family that have lost their loved one to CJD. The loss

of a loved one is tragic, but we all must carry on the efforts that Dolly,

LIz, Pat and Bev have worked so hard to get us to where we are today. They are

4 remarkable ladies! We should during this Easter Week, make a commitment to

ourselves and in memory of our loved one, to help in any way to " get the word

out " about CJD. I have noticed in my short time associated with the disease

that there exists a void in the amount of information being provided to the

public about CJD. We can all help make a difference in that information void.

It's not easy reliving the memories of watching your loved one having life

taken away day by day. I talk to as many people that I can. Groups or

individuals. It is difficult. I know, because I've been there and I'll be

there again. I made a promise to myself and to Helen: I will do whatever I can

to help with the dissemination of information of CJD and to help young mothers

and fathers understand the potential problem that CJD can cause to our

children.

To all of the CJD VOICE family. HAPPY EASTER. God Bless you and give you

the strength and courage to continue on our CJD VOICE mission.
