Guest guest
Carolyn: My husband, Guy, was not violent at all. He would lose his temper, talk loud, yell and really had total FEAR in his eyes. But all of these were not his normal behavior. He was always so sweet, kind, gentle and compassionate. And yet during these episodes, he just was not himself. It was only in he last six weeks of is life that these changes came about. The first time he experienced the Hallucinations, when it was all over, he remembered some of it, but not all of them. We tried to laugh it off, because I could see how upset he got the more he remembered. he did make a stateent. He said he had been " seeig things " for quite some time but did not want anyone to know, because they would think he was going crazy. All the doctors assured hi that was not what we were thinking. Many times he would say, " Honey, what's wrong with me " ? Even after Dr. explained CJD to us he listened carefully. She said she believed in being honest and upfront with her patients adn their families. Then at least an hour later I asked hi did he hear what she said about CJD? He said, " Not really " . So I went over itonce again, but I could see that he was not hearing me. This was 10 days before he died. In less than a week he went into the coma, she tod us about and four days after that he died, also just like she had said. You and your husand are in my prayers. And you ARE loved. May thawt PEACE that passess all understanding e yours. Betty
