Guest guest
Is there anyone on this list that is a federal employee? If so, which insurance did you choose and is it coverage adequate? We are military but being offered a very nice civil service job in the intelligence community. It is a rare opportunity, a chance for him to direct the program however he sees fit and my husband really, really wnats to take it. The money is good. We have our choice of at least 20 different insurance plans. It terrifies me to switch to civilian insurance with 5 tube fed members and one TPN dependent member. Any input on bad/good insurance companies would be much appreciated. Right now we are looking at BC/BS, GEHA and Postmasters. Steph. __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Steph, ALL I CAN TELL YOU IS THAT I HAVE HAD TO FIGHT FOR EVERYTHING FOR MICHELLE WITH KEYSTONE EAST(AMERIEALTH) AND I CAN TELL YOU THAT THEY DID NOT FEEL THAT THE FEEDING TUBE WAS NECESSARY. BOTH HER DOCTOR AND I FIGHT EVERY MONTH FOR THE FEEDING TUBE ( WE ARE ON A MONTH TO MONTH BASIC ON WHETHER THEY WANT TO APPROVE THIS OR NOT). PLEASE BE CAREFUL... PRIOR TO FEBRUARY 1 2000, WE HAD AENTA AND NEVER HAD A PROBLEM. I EVEN HAD A NURSE COMPANY CANCELL THE CONTACT BECAUSE THEY WERE NOT REIMBURSED ENOUGH THROUGH KEYSTONE. NOW I GET NO NURSING SUPPORT JUST THE VIVENOX TEN AND THE PUMP AND NG TUBES. GOOD LUCK AND CONGRADULATIONS ON THE NEW JOB. DONNA , MICHELLE 15 EE, KATIE 13 ALL ANTICBODICS, SARA 10 ADHD, MICHEAL 4 AND ONE DUE IN AUGUST ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
Guest guest
Steph- I really can't help you but we are due to switch insurances on Saturday, April 1st! I know the feeling of being scared to death. It seems like 95% of our doc are on the plan, but it is the Neocate/Elecare I am worried about! Sorry I couldn't be more help.
