This just goes with what a G. told us the other day about Dr. Ricketts.

I had invited her to the conference to speak with us and here is her

reply.....

Hello Mr. Hawkins

I'm sorry I've been so long replying...I receive a lot of e-mail and

sometimes miss important things.

I'm very very pleased to receive your invitation, however, I do not think I

can accept it. I am taking a one year assignment with the World Health

Organization in Geneva, and I am leaving to take that position next week. I

will begin on December 2nd.

As a result, it would be very difficult for me to come to the meeting. I

would need to have my airfare covered etc, which would be very expensive.

I am so sorry about this. Please feel free to contact me at WHO (email

address SHOULD be rickettsm@...), and maybe I can figure out someone

else who could go.

I thought that it was a very nice reply . I also invited Dr. Brown

and he had a brief reply last week that he was on his way to Europe and

would be back in a couple of weeks then would get back with me.

BTW I am a Mrs. the name Robin seems to throw people. I have had a couple

others put Mr. also.

I am going to send a list out soon of who has signed up for the conference.
