My name is Sharon and I am 37. I have been struggling with my weight since I

was about 25. To lose weight, I have tried counting calories, Weight Watchers

3x, NutriSystem 1x lost 30 lbs. just to gain it back, Craig - the food

is awful, low fat, Slim Fast and probably more ways I can't remember right

now. :) I yo-yo dieted up and down until I reached 220 lbs. and had decided I

was just going to be fat.

A cousin told me about Atkins and while skeptical decided to give it a try.

I followed Atkins for 7 weeks and lost 28 lbs. Then, I decided to try the

Carb. Addicts Diet, because the Reward Meal appealed to me. I spent the whole

week going up and down, having my cravings return, and not feeling as good as

I did on Atkins. For me it just works better to say no cookies, rather than

have the one or two planned at the RM turn in to 6 or 8. I had trouble with

acid reflux before Atkins, which disappeared two days into the program. For

me, Atkins is the best way to go. I hope to lose another 50 lbs. Today I

begin induction again after straying for a week. :) I hope to make some new

friends and be able to give and receive some support.
