Guest guest
I wanted to tell the group that, because of Mel's excellent work re: Utah CJD cases, I decided to call Dr. Fradkin at the NIH to ask her about the latest reports about CJD deaths caused by hGH. She told me that, to date, there are now 19 reported cases in the US. That number is significant. Despite our hopes that this nightmare would somehow disappear, the specter of CJD is still there for the 8,000 of us who took naturally derived hgh in the 1960s and 1970s. Indeed, when I wrote a newspaper article this spring about a former hGH recipient from Long Island who had passed away, I was able to identify (with Dr. Fradkin's help) 16 known cases. --
