Guest guest
I have read the posts about the experiences with the medical profession. My husband has cjd now. Before he became ill I had not had much experience with the medical profession - thank God. From my own personal experience, only during this illness I can say it scares me greatly to think we are in the hands of such people as the ones we have dealt with. To think that the neurologists, researchers, etc. know there is such a devastating disease out there, such as cjd, and to do so little, to learn so little about it is inexcusable. We have been treated as though we should find the first garbage bin we come to and dump my husband in and never look back. I'm serious unfortunately. We have been told a different story by each doctor. I really feel that they don't know, don't care and just want us away from them. Bottom line. Sorry to sound so negative but if this won't do it, I don't know what would make one lose confidence and respect for the medical professionals.
