Guest guest
HI All, I just got a phone call from Senator Lugars office saying that he was very interested in the petitions. Specifically saying that they forwarded a letter to the FDA and when they hear back they will contact me again. They also spoke to the NIH and said there was 6 million dollars going toward research just for the NIH and I don't know how much goes for this. Actually they caught me off guard, I wasn't expecting a phone call. They did mention that they were told there was no BSE found in the US, you know the usual line, and I said that of the downer cows only a small percentage are checked. She thought that was interesting too and would check into it. Terry will be mad (no pun intended) at me but I couldn't remember the exact figure. I know you have sent it through many times! I said out of 8,000 only around 2,000 are checked but at least they said they would look into it. It was great to see that one of the Senators read my letter, we'll see if we hear from Senator Bayh. I also mentioned the younger cases and the Chronic Wasting Disease. Robin
