Dear Group,

Sorry for being a bit brief in my Mirapex success reply. I had

previously stated my medication history and wasnt sure it should be

repeated.

I was on Sinemet 10/100 for aprox 5 years taking it as needed. Since

it worked as soon as I took it, I only took it when I had RLS I could not

stand. After 5 years I started taking Sinemet 25/100 as needed.

Usually once in the early evening and again at bedtime, but this did not

hold me thru the night. After another 2 years and symptoms getting

worse - RLS during the day.. all night.. and beginning in my arms also, I

asked for a different medicatin and was referred by my MP to a

neurologist. He was not familiar with rebound and augmentation and

insisted I begin using Sinemet CR 50/200 and was sure this would be

better. Still not being able to sleep, he gave me klonpin ... I was

not happy with this neurologist and found another one.

The new dr. agreed to remove me off try something else. Peramax. I

was thrilled.

I took ONE Pill... slept thru the night, but woke up real stuffy headed

and with the WORSE pain in my face I had ever had. Took 2 hours to get

rid of the pain just so I could move. ( I had a severe reaction to my

sinus's from this medication ) .. I stopped taking it and called the Dr.

on Monday and insisted he try Mirapex. He agreed this time.

I started one month ago on Mirapex taking it 3 times a day. After 2

days, I was RLS free. No daytime RLS at all and sleep completely thru

the night. I had alittle insomonia at first and it has lessened. I

have cut back to 2 Mirapex a day and am still RLS free. IF I forget

to take my 7 pm dose, sometimes I get a slight RLS feeling befor going

to bed a Midnight. Otherwise I feel Normal again. My dr is shocked at

the results of this medication. He feared giving it to me because of

the lack of time it has been on the market.

If this medication only works for a certain period of time, I will

still be very glad for that time of not having RLS at all.

I know everyone is different and has different reactions to

medications. Im still praying for everyone to find the correct

medication that works for them. Some people are doing great on

Peramax.. but I will never take it again.
