RLS: Is itching contagious??? :)

You guys are givin' me the ITCH!!!! When I finished reading all the digest

letters this morning, I went to Delete them, and realized I was sorta

backing away from my computer. It was like holding a smelling diaper out at

arms length, so you don't get too close to it. All that talk of

itching....yyyeeeeeech....made me not want to get to close to my computer. LOL

OKAY...so I'm getting a little dramatic. But it WAS a funny reaction...as

if I could " catch the itch " from the letters. Come on...I'll bet some of

you got the crawlies just reading those itch letters, too. Fess up!!!

(NO offense meant to those who wrote them. It's a great topic. I was just

laughing a my own reaction to them.)

Wanna hear about a BAD itch? I've got this kewl skin disease called

" lichen planus " . I call it " My designer skin disease " ...trying to feel

quite privileged because it's pretty rare. *smirk* I guess if you look it

up, it just means you get little red spots on your skin. But as a disease,

it's more. It runs in families....Don't we just love THOSE kinds???? My

father, brother, uncle, and I all were " blessed with it. " We all have/had

RLS, too. Interesting, eh? It appears out of the clear blue...possibly

aggravated by stress, also possibly seasonal....breaks out these little red

spots that are EXTREMELY itchy...they turn purple...later turning brown and

staying for a while. Then, you may not have it, again, for years. So far,

I've just had it around my middle..trunk of my body, and some in my mouth.

But...here's the scary thing...lots of people get it in their scalp,

armpits, and....yep...in their crotch. I'll take RLS, before I'll wish for

an itchy crotch.

GEEEEZ....I can't believe I'm writing this. Are you happy, now, Larry? Is

that off the wall enough for you? LOL
