Guest guest
June and Group, Since you've been in the group, June, have we said anything about Tension Tamer tea? Sometimes people refer to it as " Jill's tea " just because I pushed it so much for a while. Others get tired of hearing about it and have probably already hit their DELETE key. But I still love it, and several people have found it helpful. Several people tried my favorite jasmine candle, too, and not a single one liked it. One person sent the candle back to me and said, " YOU use it! Yeeech! " So, it's a pretty honest bunch. LOL Anyhow...this tea is made by Celestial Seasonings. I recommend a strong brew of it. I put two bags in 3 cups hot water and leave the bags in there while you slowly drink it....usually over a 15 minute period. The last swallow or two are pretty strong. I use Equal with it. It's VERY calming. I find it works best when I wake up in the middle of the night with RLS. One cup of tea and about 20 minutes on the computer...and I go right back to bed. I've heard one person say that too much of it worked the opposite for him...but just the one big cup worked great. ALSO...Celestial Seasonings makes supplements, now. There are pill forms of the Tension Tamer tea. BUT..big warning! You have to read the labels. There are actually THREE different Tension Tamer supplements. It's like buying Benadryl. You have to read the label and see if you're getting the antihistamine, the decongestant, or the combo. With the Tension Tamer supplements, there's the Unique formula (which has St. 's Wort, Kava Kava, and chamomile), then there's the Advanced Formula, and then the Ultimate formula. I use the Ultimate formula...but it doesn't have the St. 's wort. Each one is a little different. I haven't seen them on the shelves in health food stores, yet. BUT, our local health food store ordered it for me from Celestial Seasonings and had it here in a few days. Another way to get info on it and order is to go to the Celestial Seasonings web site: http://www.celestialseasonings.com/index.html When you get to the site, look at the list on the left and click on " Herbal Supplements " . (If anyone does not have Web access and wants more info on the products or a number to call, let me know. I have some of the info off the web site saved from an email I sent to someone else.)
