Guest guest
Jeanne.... Loved your letter with your cold remedies. Obviously, though, your mother wasn't an overprotective hovering Jewish Mother. Do you know why chicken soup always worked for a Jewish Mother's kids? It's because it kept the mother busy in the kitchen, making the soup, and the sick kids could finally get some rest. *smirk* It's a joke, Folks. No hate mail. I'm Jewish and I'm a mother, so it's okay that I tell such a tale. Actually, my kids hated my chicken soup. But they always told me go make it...just to get me off their back. So, I made it, and I ate it, myself. I love the stuff. And here's a cyber note on chicken soup. If you have a cyber friend, or family with email...and if they are sick, you can send them an electronic greeting card with a picture of chicken soup. I took the picture and donated it to the Mail-a-meal web site. Go check it out. It's sorta fun: http://www.mailameal.com If the soup doesn't make your friend better, I'm sure sorry. The problem would be that it's not my homemade soup. I opened a can of 's, for the picture. Terrible of me, I know.
