Guest guest
Hello Again, I forgot to ask if any one has a problem of waking up with a migraine and/or being woke up by one?? Even before the news of my daughter, I've been waking up with horrible migraines that last about an hour or more. I take 50mg of Imitrex for these horrific migraines, but I noticed that my Neurontin may be seemingly be helping me more. I know that the use of anti-seizure/convulsant meds are sometimes used , but I'm curious about why I'm having them. It feels as though my head is going to explode and it's usually in the morning when I get these migraines. Now, with this added stress, these migraines are happing daily- I don't like going to bed and I don't like waking up this way either. Anyone have any clues?? Dr. Levin, any idea? Take care le 37 R.I. Guest guest
Hi le; I sometimes wake up with one, but I usually wake up knowing I will get one during the day, My head feels congested on one side, it's hard to explain, but I know I will get one, that's when I usually try to stop it. If I can get it stopped before I get to the point of nausea I'm usually okay. As you probably know there are different triggers for different people, if I sleep too late in the morning I will get one. It could be food related maybe keep a diary of any new things you have been eating. I had a bad one come on the other day with NO warning I ended up taking a pill and going to bed I just couldn't shake it. I wasn't over stressed or over tired so I don't know what brought on that one... Good luck. Emetrex is supposed to be really good for migranes, does it help? Sorry I can't be more help...
