Guest guest
Dear Eve, Never, never feel that you can't to talk to us. After all, most of us have gone through depression. When I was 35, I had a nervous breakdown. I spent 5 weeks in the mental wards of the hospital. I went through a very low and hopeless time. If it hadn't been for my husbands prayers and support, I don't know what would have happened. My faith was too weak at the time, but it got me on my knees. Now I look back on it and feel it was the best thing that ever happened to me, and there is always a reason for what happens to us. My husband and I wouldn't be where we are today spiritually if it hadn't happen. I guess I'm the type that God has to hit between the eyes with a baseball bat to get my attention. But I'm glad he did. We can't see the whole picture, but " All things work together for good for those who love the Lord " Romans 8:28 . How we handle our problems shows how much faith we have. So don't give up, you'll come out a pearl ( and you know how much grinding away that speck of sand had to go through). Trials and tribulations are part of perfecting us. By the way, when I had the breakdown, I was taking Elavil. Later on after, I was put on Triville, which I blame partly on my RLS, or at least making it worse because when I first started it, the next day I was in my car waiting for the vet. to open, and I thought I was going to climb the walls if I didn't get out of that car, almost like claustrophobia. That was the first really bad RLS episode I can remember. The doctor said not to worry, it would go away and that I had to get use to it. I did get use to it, and I stayed on it for about 10 years. I wish I hadn't, but back then I was afraid not to. Eve, what I'm saying is, most of us have gone through similar things, and if we can't talk to each other knowing that the others care and are praying for us, then support groups wouldn't be necessary. So if you thought you got off the subject a little, just remember that we believe the 2 subjects are related.
