Guest guest
I was at work yesterday and was kind of having a blah one. I had been put into this new work area because a person didnt get along with the other people so I was the candidate to go. My big boss about 3 months ago told me he was going to put me at a different job to accommadate me and my problems. That has not materialized yet. Well I told him yesterday I was ready for that job. One person at work took the anitiative to go to my supervisor and tell her I was having problems where I was at. Which I was not! Well she seems to think that I need to try to get on disibility becaus of the stress, lack of sleep and mental problems I am having. About 2 months ago she was pleased with my outstanding performance at work. What the hell am I supposed to do? Fight it? She will probably make it so I cant work. Can I get on disability? I have to have an income some how! Trying to find a different job at my age would be difficult because of all the problems I have. Know one would want me.I just wish that girl would have minded her own business. Shes made it worse for me! I now have to take all of next week off of work to figure out what Im supposed to do. I feel I should fight this thing. I need to get out of that certain work enviornment, which I believe is very hazerdous to my health.I do believe my supervisor was putting things in my head. I am a very gullable person and have a hard time taking the bull by the horns to speak.I tend to let people make my decisions for me because Im to afraid to do it myself.Isnt that being called spineless?(LOL)I know this letter is kind of jumbled around a bit,but I hope you get the picture. I will take all the advice I can get at this time. I love you all!! Barb
Guest guest
Hi Jeni Lynn, > > Thanks for inquiring further. My infant's (15 mo.) stools were consistent, coming once or twice a day. In general they were gritty, color depending on what she ate, and the consistency of mush that would hold its shape. > > Currently, we have to induce a bowel with a suppository almost every day. However, they are a good, formed consistency (with sections that might be a little impacted or diarrhea), various colors throughout the stool, and minor amounts of undigested pureed food. So far we get undigested carrots, green beans, peas, and now miniscule amounts of scrambled egg when I give them to her. We are trying zucchini right now. I should know by tomorrow how she is tolerating them. For your 15 mo: What exactly is she eating. (Even if it small amounts or rare) I'd try cutting out the peas for a bit. Is she getting any suuplements or meds? Are you using fresh, regular cut frozen, or french cut green beans? The french cut frozen green beans seem to be easier tolerated by most. > My son, 3 yr. old, had stools that swung between diarrhea and constipation pre-SCD. He had undigested food pre-SCD as well. The colors ranged from grey to green to dark brown. His stools are still varying in consistency (most likely due to the supplements we are also introducing slowly at this time). The colors tend to be more light brown and dark brown with occasional green. The part that bothers me is that I will still find some undigested particles in his stool. Right now he will pass some undigested prune skins and undigested pea skins as well as sections of stool showing bright orange from pureed carrots when I give them these foods. What supplements is he taking? Have you considered waiting a bit before introducing more supplements? The skins of peas are quite fibrous and are relatively more difficult to digest than the rest of the pea. You could try popping them out of the skin (very time consuming) - or eliminating them for a while. The occasional changes in stool color (green etc.) may be die to the supplements especially if any are antimicrobial in nature. > My daughter, 5 yr. old, has the same stool patterns as my son; however, she seems to have less undigested food. > > I do think we are improving since we started SCD. My question relates to moving on. Are we seeing enough progress to warrant moving past phase 1? I don't understand when you can feel you have a " green light " for moving on. As I said, we still have some undigested food and some weird bowel consistencies. Are we supposed to wait for NO UNDIGESTED FOOD and completely formed stools all the time? Not necessarily, but you only want to add slightly more complex to digest foods. To aid in digestion some add in enzymes (if you haven't already). > I am fairly certain my infant has developed an egg sensitivity, so I am a bit anxious. I don't like the idea of feeding them the same foods everyday because of the possibility of my guys developing these sensitivities. Do you have any advice? If you think the baby has developed a problem with eggs (why do you think this?) then you should stop using it. Guest guest
Hey Sheila and everyone else reading! Here's the low-down . Elle, my 15 mo., eats eggs, pearsauce, roasted chicken, chicken broth, pureed carrots (unsuccessful), pureed frozen regular cut green beans (unsuccessful), pureed squash, pureed zucchini, diluted Welch's grape juice. Her supplements and meds are: evening primrose oil from Metabolic Maintenance; cod liver oil from Nordic Naturals; ultra-sensitive part A-vitamins from Brain Child Nutritionals; flavored mega-minerals from Brain Child Nutritionals; dimethylglycine with B12 and folinic acid from Kirkman; ultra pure fish oil " rs " from Vital Nutrients; nystatin (although tomorrow we are switching to fluconazole); taurine from Source Naturals; Igg 2000 df from xymogen; endura/pak guard (l-glutamine a PAK) from Perque; lipo glutathione from Wellness Pharmacy; probiotic synergy powder from Living Well Today; carni clear from Designs for Health; baths in beyond clean from Longevity Plus mixed with apple cider vinegar and epsom salts; zinc sulfate cream from Wellness Pharmacy; authia cream from Westlake Laboratories; td dmsa with glutithione for chelation routine from Wellness Pharmacy; and bethanechol. In addition to finding miniscule amounts of scrambled eggs in her stool. Yesterday I found one miniscule amount of shredded chicken in her stool. Should I be freaking out? I could cut out the peas and eggs as you suggested, but then that takes me back to the problem of her not having much variety and being more likely to develop allergies or sensitivities to these foods that she is eating day in and day out. Is there a recommended protocol for such a situation? Do you have any ideas how I might rotate these few foods so that she gets a break from some of it in order to minimize the allergy-thing? My son and daughter's supplements and meds are: cod liver oil from Nordic Naturals; ultra pure fish oil " rs " from Vital Nutrients; endura/pak guard (l-glutamine and PAK) from Perque; potent c guard (buffered ascorbate powder) from Perque; probiotic synergy powder from Living Well Today; afp-peptizyde multiple protease from Houston Nutraceuticals; no-fenol multiple enzyme from Houston Nutraceuticals; pain guard forte (energized tissue repair complex) from Perque; and bethanechol. They will soon be introduced to life guard (energized vitamin/mineral transporter) from Perque2. I have been introducing these supplements one-at-a-time. I wait a period of 3 days before introducing a new one. I didn't understand your statement about getting the " green light " to move on. You wrote: " Not necessarily {in reference to waiting for " perfect stools " }, but you only want to add slightly more complex to digest foods. " Do you mind explaining this a little more? I am sorry if I am missing something obvious. I am so overwhelmed by all the changes happening in my life right now that it feels like my brain isn't working half the time. You also asked why I think my baby has developed an egg sensitivity. One reason is that she has severe leaky gut So if you consider this along with the fact that she has eaten eggs EVERY SINGLE DAY since the end of last October, it seems likely. Also, as I said before, I have found miniscule amounts of scrambled egg in her stool for a couple days so I know that at least teeny-tiny amounts of it are no longer being digested. So do you (or anyone else) have any further guidance for me? Thanks! Jeni Lynn mom to Margeaux, , and Elle SCD since December
