RLS: overeating

Okay folks...it's observation time. Thinking back to the worst RLS attacks

I've had this year, I'm beginning to realize that MANY of them came after

having eaten enough to be " uncomfortable " . I remember several times,

eating out at restaurants and having horrible rides back home, groaning

that I was stuffed, and then groaning because my legs were going nutso.

We just did a pre-thanksgiving visit to Tucson, where all our family lives.

That translates to MANY big meals and lots of groaning...and..yep...some

pretty intense RLS attacks after the biggest dinners.

I'm not saying a full stomach causes RLS. But hey...it's something to

think about, heading into Thanksgiving dinner. Who knows, maybe it's the

company I eat with. LOL

Seriously, though...I think that for ME, I sorta panic when I get that

full. I can't seem to relax when I feel like my belly is bursting and

there's no relief in sight. If anxiety is a precursor to RLS....then this

all ties in, cuz I get VERY anxious when I overeat. I also get tired...and

I'm most likely to get RLS when I'm tired and uncomfortable, too.

Also...we know RLS kicks up when you lay still...which is what I do, after

overeating.

I'm just thinking...maybe I'll only have THREE servings of everything on

Thursday. Yep...might just go easy on myself this year. :)

Of course, the reasonable thing to do, would be to exercise...maybe go for

a walk after Thanksgiving dinner...but...well...that sounds like work. :)

Take care and Happy Thanksgiving.
