Guest guest
I wish I could say that eating a large meal or eating before going to bed caused my rls to act up.........that would surely help me a lot. It would be SO EASY to control! But one of the first things I checked out when my rls got really bad was food, drink, amounts consumed and when.....along with exercising before bed or not........and cutting caffeine. Also cutting back on sugar. I then moved on to every vitamin and supplement that I could think of, teas, massage, heat, cold, yoga, meditation, aroma therapy........Lord knows what all. I did this over several years and kept very careful records. In fact, if anything......I have found that a little snack at night helps me to sleep more comfortably. Now I'm not talking about having a Polish sausage with onions and peppers or a loaf of bread with a half a cup of my beloved roasted garlic spread.........but just about anything else is fair game......:-) I realize that this is a very individualized thing...........just like everything else we try to do to help our rls. So I guess I'll go ahead and have some Creme Brulee and Chocolate Sin after I've sampled everything else on my son's table tomorrow....... And when I bow my head in prayer........I will be giving thanks for all of the wonderful friends that I've made in the past year in this group. When it's cold and dark in the middle of the night, and my body is wracked with pain and spasms..... and everyone in my real world is sleeping........this is the light that I turn to for support. This is where I find a kind word.....a cyberhug........someone to help me, or that I can help... Have a great Thanksgiving! Connie
