Guest guest
Its too bad that a pattern can't be found to fit us all. In my case, it took me quite a few years to admit to myself that there is a pronounced correspondence between what I consume and my RLS symptoms. I didn't want to give up alcohol and caffeine specifically, and my beloved antihistamines that I would take for reactions to food sensitivities. When the subject of 'feasting' and RLS came up, for me it meant overindulgence in 'types' of foods, not necessarily amounts. If I drink wine, and 'real' tea, and eat several of the foods that I have sensitivities to, am in a room with smokers, and have to sit around a table, chatting and visiting, I can guarantee a full blown RLS attack. I choose my occasions when I'm willing to 'pay' for indulging. Sometimes I conveniently 'forget' for awhile and gradually add things, then I reach the point when I can no longer kid myself. What fun! I'm sure you can all relate in terms of some activity or another that you've had to give up because of RLS.
