Guest guest
Jill and all, a year ago I saw an interview with a few Touretters and I thought, this is much worse, but it looks like rls.I discussed it with my neurologist and he said, all branches from the same tree, rls, dystonia, Parkinson, Tourette Syndrome.I am sure you can read about it on the we move websites. Guest guest
There was an interesting Maury Povich show yesterday. His guests all had Tourette's Syndrome. They suffer from constant twitching and jerking which they can't control. It reminded me of PLMD, but while you are awake, too. The other thing that struck me as interesting, was how many of them went undiagnosed for a long time, being told to control their weird twitching, or being accused of just trying to attrack attention. It was fascinating. Dr. Levin? Has ANY correlation been drawn between Tourette's and RLS or PLMD? I believe it was a hypothalamus disfunction that caused it. It sure seemed like a " related cousin " to what some of us experience. It seemed close enough that maybe people with RLS and other complications might want to rule out a concurrent case of Tourette's. I never heard " how " they test for it. Just found it interesting. It also made me thank my lucking stars that with RLS, at least, we HAVE some control over how we move or twitch. MOST of the time, anyhow.
