Hi

Compazine and Phenergan are both phenothiazine derivatives and should be

avoided in people with RLS. Any of the phenothiazines typically

aggravate RLS. Tigan should be used very carefully in kids and the

elderly because of possible central nervous system effects. It

potentiates the actions of drugs like Demerol and phenobarbital in

everyone and should also be used carefully. Vistaril (also marketed as

Atarax) is pretty safe and typically does not bother RLS patients even

though it has antihistaminic actions. Ginger is still a good remedy for

nausea.
