Guest guest
Jeff, I also had the " growing pains " (I'm only 5 " 3, so they didn't work for me either). My mother used to rub them and sit me in a hot bath. God knows how many sleep deprived nights she had with me. They were really bad. My kids, who have no rls, never had them. My father, who had plmd, did have them as a child. Who knows, maybe a connection, and if so, how does it help us now?! ne, 58, Lawrenceville, NJ ___________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail. Jeff In response to the above, allow me to refer you to the chapter by Picchietti, M.D. in Sleep Thief entitled: " Growing Pains: RLS in Children " . The first paragraph reads, " Growing Pains is a term that may turn out to have very special and significant meaning for families of RLS sufferers. Currently pediatricians think of growing pains as a transient and insignificant problem that children will outgrow. New evidence indicates that some children with growing pains actually have RLS.
