Guest guest
Hi, , and welcome to our group. You inquired as to whether any of us is taking Ultram. I have been taking it a little over two years...I think...I swear the memory is GOING, GOING...GONE!!! I am taking 100 mg three times a day, and the maximum dosage would be four times a day. I do not have any side effects whatsoever. I am taking it for pain, along with Neurontin. A side benefit is that it also helps arthritis; after all, it is an analgesic. This medication was originally prescribed by my sleep doctor and continued after I was referred to a neurologist. However, my primary care physician has flat out stated that she would never prescribe this medication, that it is highly addictive, and that she has seen people in rehab that have been on it. I have not found anything, so far, to back up her statements, so I really don't know. What I do know is that it allows me to function very well, without being huddled up somewhere in pain. I was never given any warning by my sleep doctor or the neurologist or the pharmacist about this medication but, just in case, I am very careful to not abuse this drug and have never felt the need to do so. I told my neurologist what my pcp had said, and he does not agree with her and still writes the prescription. I hope this helps, and that you have a good night.
