Guest guest
Pertaining to balance: I have to see where my feet are landing in order to balance myself.... The feeling in my feet is not the best and I need to know ahead of time if it is level or bumpy in order to balance myself.... If it's bumpy I have to prepare my knees for the possibility. I hope this makes since. Jeanie

I remember my Mom getting upset with me because I would always put a run in my leotards. But, she knew that I didn't have to be playing to fall.... She had seen me fall whenever I was just standing. LOL When I was younger the falls weren't as damaging but when I hit about 25 the falls became very dangerous for me... I always seem to hurt my knee or ankle.... I have fallen so many times and dealt with so much pain that after one fall I didn't know that I had actually fractured my leg.... I was used to falling and hurting for days on end because of the fall. I didn't find out until 3 years later when an x-ray was taken of that leg after another fall that I had had a fractured leg. LOL Guess what...... last night my hubby got in my electric wheelchair to bring it to me and he ran over my foot with it..... Needless to say I had to take a couple of pain pills. He felt so bad about it.... It doesn't take much pressure on my feet or legs to absolutely kill me with pain. I'm all better today.... Guest guest
I am not sure if age is a factor in falling, but I think disease progression is a factor. Some people progress faster than others. I fall sometime. But,my cane helps steady me. I am 46.
