Guest guest
, Thank you so much for the update on Virginia. I'm sure that every one of us who is up walking tonight will be praying for her comfort as well as her survival. The thought of her having a stroke and being in this awful condition is horrendous.......but when I think of her experiencing RLS on top of this, it really breaks my heart. It will be tremendously difficult for Jack to adjust to this loss, if and when it comes. I pray that he has a support system of family and friends to help give him strength. In regard to your Ultram medication. I have taken this med but it did absolutely nothing for me. I attended a support meeting at s Hopkins Bayview Campus a few months ago and the speaker was Dr. Earley.......who is also one of Dr. Levin's physicians in his practice with Dr. . Dr. Earley spoke a good bit about Ultram and it was very interesting. He said that, by rights........Ultram should not do a darn thing for RLS........and it doesn't, for most people. But there is a certain group of people for whom this drug seems to work miracles, and they have no idea why. He wondered if there were some kind of different receptors in the brains of these people...............who knows? You certainly could be taking something far more dangerous, so I think I would just accept my good fortune. As with anything, you should research your medication, heed the warnings and following instructions. Good luck to you, ......welcome to the group..........and thank you again for the news about Virginia. Connie, 61, MD
