My name is robert. In 1982 I was diagnosed with nocturnal myoclonus , which

, if I am understanding correctly, is now plmd? My diagnosis was made

following a sleep study at Hoag hospital in Newport Beach, Ca. I was

prescribed the lowest dose of Klonopin 0.5mg, and sent on my way. The

Klonopin has helped me over the years, but my legs still move at night. I

am often tired during the day, but do not know whether my fatigue is due to

the lingering effect of the klonopin, OR, whether the Klonopin is simply

not completely effective at keeping my leggs still, and consequently

allowing my microarrousals to continue to rob me of sleep. I am now in the

process of seeking out a different sleep specialist , both for a second

opinion, and to possibly get newer types of medications. During my initial

study, it was shown that I was getting deprived of REM and DEEP sleep. Just

yesterday I read in a health book that Inositol increases REM. Any feedback

would be appreciated. Thanks .
