Guest guest
Dear All, I would like to comment on growing pains from a neuro point of view. I have been working with neural tension techniques for some time. One of the Cerebral Palsy kids I work with grew almost 3 inches in about 2 weeks - one of those huge growth spurts boys go through sometimes. His legs were painful until I worked on releasing the sciatic nerve. I think, with growing pains, the nerves don't always grow as fast as the rest of it (same with soft tissue at times) and there is stress on the nervous system. If RLS is truly a nervous system disorder - well, who knows, but it nakes sense to me - or have I not had enough sleep. As for hot burning feet - my sister has not been able to wear enclosed shoes for years. I gave her a surgical scrub brush and when she is consistant with the brushing routine - 4 or 6 times a day for 2 or 3 minutes, everyday, it really helps. The burning is probably a sensory integration dysfunction. Lee Citrus Heights, CA
