Guest guest
Just wondering, has anyone ever tried contacting Easter Seals to see if they offer any help for CMT persons? Gretchen
Guest guest
Dear Gretchen, I have gone to E. Seals for physical therapy. The people there were excellent. They tried and were willing to learn about CMT. They understood that my problems and pain were not a result of an accident or injury that would be able to " heal " . They were very respectful of my limits and understood and BELIEVED I was working to do my best. I mention that specifically because I went to our local hospital outpatient physical therapy and they knew NOTHING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about CMT. They judged me and were awful. I was totally uncomfortable. AND had NO interest in learning either! I REGRET so totally not writing at least a letter to the woman's supervisor on what happened. Unfortunately, at the time I was very upset. ANYWAYS, Yes ES is excellent and if they don't have an answer they are willing to look for one.
