Hi group -

On tonight's 6pm local Atlanta news ( ABC affliliate) , they had story on

insomnia. The reporter was giving some of the major causes of insomia and

RESTLESS LEGS SYNDROME was the first one mentioned. Maybe RLS is starting to

get some attention as a major problem. However, the report was on insomnia

and not RLS. The report included not being able to get to sleep and waking up

many, many times througout the night. The gist of the story was that those in

a study who actually were able to change their sleep habits or habits prior to

going to bed were more successful in resolving their insomnia than those

relying on sleeping aids. The doctor interviewed said " sleeping aids are only

a bandaid. " I wanted to share this with you. After taking a sleep aid (over

the counter) for two years with good results, I suddently starting hearing my

heartbeat in my ears and stopped taking it. Sunday night, I tried it again.

Same thing only this time I never felt the sleep ingredient take effect. I

was wide awake until about 2 am. Melatonin works sometimes.

To change the subject -

I have another request - a while back, several weeks I think, someone sent

some really funny advice on preparing for a mammogram. I was telling a

friend of mine about it but could only remember 1. I would like to share it

with her. Would whoever sent it, please send it to my email? I promise I

will start saving those things I may want to go back to and quit bothering you

with these requests.

Thanks, thanks, thanks,

Lynn Ga.
