Guest guest
9nette, It was me, Thanks, but someone else sent it in again and I got it. I can't keep up with names, I forget who said what. Duh. I've been deleting right after I read letters ever since my memory ran out in February, and I had over 800 letters pile up on me. In order to delete them I had to remove Norton Anti-Virus. Then when I purchased more memory and reinstalled Norton, It shows up as a trial program. Same disk, I don't understand it. Guest guest
Rodney It's 3:40 a.m. and I had .5 mg. Mirapex at 8:00 p.m., .5 at 11:00 and .5 at 1:00 ( total .75 Mirapex) along with .5 Klonopin, plus another .5 Klonopin about 12:00. It usually works, but my sister and I moved our 81 yr old aunt today and the bending and heavy lifting of boxes has taken a toll on my lege and hips. The legs just won't stay still. Sometimes I can take vitamin supplements like zinc, calcium, potassium, magnesium and amino acids and it will help. But tonight it didn't work. Sometimes I take a Tylenol w/codeine with flareups but I am out of them. So I will drag around tomorrow at school, run the kids to practice at 4:00 p.m., go to the band band banquet tomorrow night and fall into bed from exhaustion when I get home around 9:00 p.m. I just hope the legs will stay still tomorrow night. I was taking .5 Klonopin--it started to not work--that's when I added the Mirapex. I originally started out with .125 Mirapex about six months ago. Then gradually I had to increase it. I think .75 is about max for me, as I have been getting a stiff neck and some insommnia--like tonight. Over the past few years, I have had to change meds periodically. I think it is time for me to make a change. Sinemet gave me augmentation the next day although it was wonderful at night. Eventually I had to take more and more and the daytime augmentation got worse. Neurontin gave me IMMEDIATE augmentation around 9:00 p.m. while sitting here at the computer before going to bed. So much for the Neurontin. I hope you find something that works. Sleepless nights are the pits. Guest guest
LindyB: I just read your post to Rodney about your Mirapex doseages. I also take Xanax with the Mirapex and have found when I am on my drug holiday from the Xanax I just do not sleep for two nights. Not from RLS but the Mirapex. I have found that if I want to sleep at all that night the latest I can take my Mirapex is 6:00 p.m. then the Xanax around 10:00 p.m. otherwise the Mirapex has some insomnia thing going and I will not sleep at all. Maybe you could try something like this. Tina
Guest guest
Hi Gang, Back from Hawaii, and checking my 356 e-mails! We had a great time there, as always. I'm gonna lose my job any second now. It's truly a blessing. I've been on Mirapex for a year and a half now. It works really well for me. There have been times where it stops working for a few nights. I have steadfastly refused to switch medications, as I have read from almost everyone here, that we all have had periods of time that our meds don't seem to be effective as they once had been. I didn't realize how effective my meds were, until I went without them for three consecutive nights. I thought I would lose my mind! So from that point on, I decided that a couple of bad nights, or occasional flair ups for no apparent reason, is still about 80% better than it was! Since Mirapex has had few side effects for me, I have chosen to stay on it. It works quite well. I do not take any sleep medication, other than an occasional Tylenol PM. I hope all is well with everyone. Welcome to the newcomers. You are most appreciated in our support group. Guest guest
> hi there, I am new to the group list here, I havent gone to the doctor and said my suspicion of rls, but I thought that I would try to learn a little more about the symptoms and treatment so I could be educated and possibly rule out this. Can anyone help me out?? _________________________________________________________
