Guest guest
Hi everyone, Ninette, Codeine: Yup, they sell codeine otc in Canada. It's not on the shelves where aspirin is or anything. You have to ask the pharmacist who keeps it out of sight. Cool country, eh? ...gov't sucks, though. OOPS wrong list... Tylenol #1 contains 8mg of codeine per tablet. I take three tablets, when I'm really bad off. I used to have to keep going back for a rx for tylenol #3. But like someone else mentioned here, I felt like a druggie asking for a fix, (forget that), so I just started to take #1's for same effect. Robaxacet with codeine is also kept " under lock & key " but no rx required. This also has 8mg codeine + 400mg methocarbanol + 325mg acetominaphen. Gotta ask the pharmacist for it, too. Fair warning, though, (I repeat yet again), how dangerous codeine is when abused. Been there, done that, still paying price for it with my stomach. Connie, Chelation: Thanks for the info. Didn't know such a thing exists. I dabble with homeopath remedies and every single book I've read refers to toxins and detoxifying being very good for you. I even tried a herbal tea for 1 week during a fast, to cleanse the liver. Except, I was so starved toward the end, that I'm sure I re-toxed myself loading up on extra junk food to make up for fasting... OBTW, I have no clue what the tea consisted of - don't ask, you wouldn't want to swallow it down, anyways, YUCK. ....weeeell, if anyone really wants to know, I can find out.. Joan, Leg Cramps: Lots of us have RLS/PLMD. Since I only have RLS, I can relate to the ache that you feel, as it is a regular occurrence but not daily. Have you tried a " muscle " cream like the kind athletes might use when they are sore? (I think they call it analgesics). I use Myoflex. Works real good for that crampy ache when I get it. My mom has RLS & Parkinson's and she uses the cream for relief, (among other heavy duty PK med's), that's how I heard about it. Because she has both conditions, she doesn't know where one begins & other one stops. We also use wild yam cream, (available at health store), on hip and upper leg area where our RLS begins. The thing about creams is you can't have clothing over it for at least 20 min. so that it has a chance to be absorbed.... That's it from me today, took my valerian, yaaaaaawn. (don't be jealous, now, I'll be up again in a couple of hours.....) Good night to all Ana Casinha, 34 Woodbridge,Ont.
