Guest guest
After years of suffering from RLS I was given a prescription for Percodan (Previously I had taken Tylenol with Codeine - but it had stopped working). The relief was amazing, simply amazing. I could sleep, sit through movies, stay in my seat on planes. Then it started not working as well. So my doctor upped my dosage. Great. For a while. Finally he upped the dosage to 2 pills 4 times a day. I frequently took more than that. The period of relief starting getting shorter and shorter. I began to have mood swings, sweating, horrible itching, hives - I can't even remember what else - but lots of side effects. So I decided to stop. Not so easy - after several tries I finally had to go to an outpatient detox program to get off it. I think I took it for 2 or 3 years. I was given Darvon as a replacement - (still take it) We've learned here that everyone reacts differently to different meds - but that's my experience with Percodan (and Percoset) -- 43 NY
