I have been taking .5 mg of mirapex for the last three months and it has

been doing a good job, except last night. I did as I usually do and took

..5 mg before bed an hour later my right shoulder had to move after a few

minutes I rolled on my right side put my right arm under my head and my

shoulder stopped bothering me. When I thought I had won it started in my

left leg and that lasted until 5 AM it stayed with me and I didn't want

to take anymore medication. This was the first time Mirapex has failed

me. Has anyone else on Mirapex had the same symptoms or am I the only

one. Please don't tell me I have to find something else. I don't want to

go to bed tonight I am afraid it will happen again. I am tempted to take

Sinemet and hope for the best. I will let you know tomorrow what happens

Hi Rodney, Lindy, and All,

I have been taking .50 mg of mirapex for over a year, and it has it's

ups and downs, but in general it still does a better job than other

things I have tried. This weekend was terrible for some reason, but I

know it will get better again. Like you, Lindy, I am not looking

forward to a day with my rambuncious 5th graders, because last night

was NOT good! I had the same experience with Sinemet as you did - good

at night, but unbearable during the day. I've been taking folic acid

with iron, timed release, and really do believe it has made a positive

difference, but am not ready to throw away the Mirapex yet!
