As I've been sitting here reading the messages about

people describing pain in their legs, a thought

occurred to me. When I was young, I used to

experience horrible pains in my shins that my

grandmother always called " growing pains " . As I got

older, around 12 or 13 or so, I developed what I

always said was arthritis. I would horrible pains that

started in my knees, and, over the years, progressed

to my ankles. A couple of years ago, I fell and

bruised my tailbone, and had to sleep on my side

constantly. That caused the pain to move to my hips.

Now it is in my knees, hips, ankles, wrists, elbows,

shoulders, and starting in my hands. I have been

tested twice for arthritis and 3 times for Lyme

disease, all of which came back negative. Has anyone

else experienced this kind of pain, with no known

cause? Could this be from my RLS? I have always

kicked in my sleep. I remember when I was little my

mom wouldn't let me sleep with her, because I kicked

her too much. I has just become much worse in the

last 5 years. I was living in western Kansas last

year, and that was when it became intolerable. After

moving to Massachusetts, it lessened, to a degree, and

I thought that there may be a connection to the amount

of minerals in the water in Kansas. I mentioned that

to my doctor and his response was, " Maybe. Maybe not.

No one knows for sure what causes it. " Is there

anyone out there that may know if high concentrations

of minerals could aggrevate the RLS? I have never

seen mention of it.

Thanks again, and sweet dreams to you all!
