Lamar here,

Unlike you I suffer in the cold. My feet are cold 24/7 anyway. In cold weather

they are like blocks of ice, so cold they are painful. I live in South GA. For

a week it has been 99-101 daily with heat factors of 115. Miserable and

sweaty?? YES but not the pain. I can cool in a few minutes, but in cold it

takes me hours. I did find last year in TX that when it was 110 outside I was

more comfortable than I am here at 95. The humidity was lower and it was a " dry

heat " opposed to our steam. I am best at 40-70 temps outside. It is mainly my

feet and legs that hurt in cold. In fact I seldom put on sleeves until it is

below 40 and a light jacket at about 25. But I must wear socks winter and

summer, even in bed, to help keep my feet warm.

Marti, well, I've got a pair of Ugg Boots, sheepskin lined/Australian,

my feet don't get cold, just hate to wear socks! They are real

comfortable and might warm up your feet. There are 2 links to Uggs under

our links section. And as for temperature, you all will think I am nuts,

but no kidding, when I lived in Wyoming and had -15 below winters I felt

great - well it is a very dry winter/cold. One of these days I'd like to

spend a year in Maine and experience a winter there. It is much easier

for me to get warm when it is cold than to cool off when its hot. I

think extreme heat is harhd for anyone.

We have a dry heat here in CA all but 2 weeks in August. It is much better

then wet heat.
