Guest guest
To Bernard, The FDA does more than just check paperwork with regard to drug testing and manufacturing. The scientific/medical review process is thorough, clinical data and clinical investigators (i.e., physicians) are audited, and, as you know, manufacturers are held to stringent requirements as per good manufacturing practices. The procedures you describe that take place i n Switzerland do not differ from those in the U.S. Jane ************************************************************ To ne, Of course a pharmaceutical company expects to realize a profit - is there something wrong with that? What about the local grocery store, the auto body shop, Mc's, Sears, or any business? I suspect there is some dishonesty in the pharmaceutical industry (as there probably is in all industries since people run them and work for them), but it is probably a lot less than in other industries because the pharmaceutical industry is a regulated industry. My first job (real job I should say) was working for a pharmaceutical company as a research chemist - Burroughs-Wellcome and I found the scientists and physicians I associated with to possess integrity and dedication. Outta here again, Jane _________________________________________________________
