Guest guest
I suffer from either incredibly hot hands and feet or so cold my husband once checked to see if I was still alive. I have a gel pad with a cover that in the summer (in England you're joking) I put in the freezer, then take it out, put in the cover and when I working I take my shoes off and rest my feet lightly on it - bliss. In the winter I can put it in the microwave and do the same thing. Failing that is lots of socks for the cold and feet in front of an electric fan for the heat. CMT is never boring and necessity, I'm sure you're all aware of is the mother of invention. Sue XXXX Heat~Yuck! Hi. Marc here. This temperature thing intriques me. I have always been a bit funny in regards to the highs and lows. I was the teen who never wore a jacket. Even when the temps dropped quite below freezing, I would just wear a sweat shirt (and I still am like this). But on winter nights I freeze. Usually it is my right foot which feels as if it has been packed in ice for hours when I climb into bed. In the summer when the temps climb above 85 or 90, I die. Especially, in areas of high humidity. But even here in relatively dry California the high temps do me in. I lose all energy, begin to ache, fall a lot, have trouble breathing, etc. What struck me as I read the messages from others was the trouble breathing. The heat does it to me big time. But a lot of the time I feel as if I am suffocating. I simply cannot catch my breath. It is an awful feeling and one I never connected to the CMT. When I was a child I had asthma attacks which went away, but I figured my shortness of breath related to that, somehow. It sometimes feels as if I cannot get enough oxygen; I throw open all the windows or head outside. This happens year round and does not seem to be weather or temperature related. Strange. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
