Guest guest
Dear RLS-Cybernauts, I remember an old mail (I am unable to find it again!)from a RLS-sufferer claiming that for him, Hydergine was the wonder drug. Hydergine (ergoloid mesylates, ergot preparation) increases the blood circulation in the brain and is approved by the FDA for the treatment of cerebrovascular insufficiency and also senile dementia. I have found one publication stating that it can compensate for a transmitter deficit in dopaminergic and serotoninergic systems. That sounds not too stupid to me for a possible attenuation of RLS symptoms. Has somebody already tried Hydergine for RLS ???
