Guest guest
My mother used to often say " I wish I could help you more " - she was a Navy WW2 Nurse. I was the first born, only daughter of 2 Navy WW2 Veterans. I am certain there must have been guilt there. If anything, my parents, especially Mom, was a tad bit overprotective. But I was treated with love, kindness, respect and all other good things. However, because of my own struggles with CMT as a child and an adult, I did not want to possibly pass CMT on to my children. When I was of childbearing age there were too many unknowns. That cost me 2 fiances, but they weren't right for me. Have been with my manfriend now 9 years and once again I am accepted for who I am. We are way too old for children now, but we are talking about getting involved in Big Sisters/Brothers. Gretchen
