Hi and all,

the correct name is " Anxietas Tibiarum " it's a latin denomination

which stands for anxiety or nervouseness of the shin-bone.

It was known to me as Anxietas Tibiae (singular instead of plural) since ever,

being this the name normally used by my mother,

toghether with its direct translation in her hometown dialect:

" Nervous in ti gamb " (nervousness in the legs).

I do not know who used it the first time.

Ekbom itself may be, but I've not evidence of that.

Any one of us had the chance to read Ekbom's original paper ?

Cheers,

Anxietus Tibiarum?

From: Sqrl523@...

I was looking through a book at Border's today called Women's Health. They

had a section on Restless Legs - said it was also called Anxieta Tibiarum (

or maybe anxietus Tibiarum?)

At any rate, with all the reading I've done on RLS over the years, and I've

done a lot I've never seen this before? Anyone else ever heard it referred

to as this?

Just curious...
