Heck, I stay lethargic. Since thaking the Permax, though, for

the past week, I have noticed that my appetite has increased. I

can't seem to get full. Arg . . . lock the refrigerator . . .

here I come!!!! . . . and the Permax hasn't done a thing for

the RLS. I don't think I'm going to take it any more. I'll go

back to the Mirapex.

Hi Jeanne,

I have been taking Permax for about two months now and have

experienced no more lethargy than usual. Our common malady necessarily

produces some amount of lethargy for lack of sleep, but this medication, for

me at least, has not added to that effect. The only side effect I can see so

far is a slight increase in insomnia.

Some of the more common side effect from Permax include nasal

stuffiness/congestion, muscle soreness/aches, constipation and nausea.

However, as you well know, it is one of those YMMV things.

Many people who take Permax or other similar meds also take a benzo at

bedtime to help them go to sleep.

I found out that if I take my Permax shortly before dinner or with a light

snack, I don't have any nausea with it. BUT, I found out that if I take

Permax along with Tritec (stomach ulcer med), I will feel extremely nauseated

and will vomit big time!
