Iam --Edie 53 Virginia Beach > Iam so pleased to find you people - I knew others suffered with rls but I don't know anyone else except my mother and she has such mild occurences that no meds are needed. Then there is me - It all started a few years ago with some symptoms that I thought " were in my mind " but then became severe and tormenting. My doctor was unfamiliar with my symptoms so I really felt like a looney tunes , > a sleep deprived, on my feet all the time, suicidal looney tunes at that !! Since I thought I had some mystery syndrome or was just nuts with my " legs are driving me to distraction " , it was only after much suffering that I finally went to a neurologist. He,thankfully, recognized my complaints and that was the start of some blessed relief! I took Sinemet with it's severe nausea until augmentation took over then was switched to Neurontin, effectively, for quite some time. Now it is Mirapex and Neurontin. Again,Iam beginning to have break-through symptoms ! comments?? Iam happy to have found you.
