FELLOW SUFFERERS:

My nitely friend has already come a-calling, and it's only midnite!

I figure he will show up about two or three more times before I get up

for the day. Since I now have RLS extending from my right arm all the

way down the right leg, I ain't doing too much sleeping.

Well, I guess this gives me the opportunity to clear out my several

hundred RLS messages and maybe write a few of my own. Or, I can prowl

around the neighborhood;it's nice to walk outside this time of the

morning. As long as I don't get mugged that is. Or, i can watch all

those sleazo cable flicks that they'd never have the guts to show in the

daytime. There's so much to do when you get to wake up two or three

times every night for years. We have so many opportunities normal human

beings don't get.

DAMN I LOVE MY RLS!!!

Hi to All,

This message was triggered by Nortrup's

message regarding RLS in his right arm/leg and his

waking up 2 and 3 times a night. Sometimes I have RLS

in one leg worse than the other (switches from right

to left - that is, the same leg is not worse each

time) and sometimes it's both legs equally. Also

provided I get to sleep, I wake up every 1 1/2 to 2 hr

all night long - and, as a result, I am exhausted all

the time. I am curious if others experience the same

things. In addition to Sinemet and Mirapex, I take

Prozac (60 mg/day) and my doctor just put me on

Klonopin. I have tried going off of Prozac to other

SSRIs to see if Prozac was exacerbating my RLS. My

RLS did not decrease when I went to Zoloft - my

depression got worse though. The Klonopin is (to my

understanding) to try and help me stay asleep. I am

worried that I am taking too much medicine at this

point. Any comments? ?
