Guest guest
I don't know anything about these?? ANYONE??? But I would like to. I am having a hec of a time right now with tarsal-tunnel syndrome in my feet and ankles. I do wear braces at night for my wrists. I can wear them during the day, but usually choose not to. Thanks Becca http://www.onelist.com/subscribe/CMTweightmanagement
Guest guest
Thanks Becky. I went to my orthotist yesterday and was casted for new braces and he was the one that recommended them. I really didn't know they had them. Who wrote your perscription for them, your neuro or family doctor. I get so frustrated dealing with my family doctor who I had to go thru for HMO because they have no clue what CMT is or what to do for it. Every time I go there I have to tell them what I need. I didn't know if insurance would pay for them or not. Good luck with your KAFO's. I just got casted for the Oregon Othotics System and am anxious to see if they help with my recurvatum in my knees. That is another thing that makes me mad, 6 months ago my left knee was not that bad and all of a sudden it gets really bad and now they tell me the brace I had was not right and I should have had a brace that addresses the recurvatum from the start. It's like a vicious cycle that I am sure we all go thru. Well thanks and good luck with your braces. Betty
Guest guest
Becca: These braces are intended for people who have tight heel cords. When we sleep due to the muscle loss our feet kinda fall down and these braces keep them in the right position plus pull on the heel cords. It is like stretching exercises while we are sleeping. I really don't know if they work because I have not gotten them yet. Betty
